Welcome to the guide on requesting essential information from your manufacturer to create a sign customiser using our fixed width model in the Sign Customiser app. This guide will take you through the process of obtaining essential details such as sign price, shipping price, font, and size specifications from your supplier and entering them into the app backend. Following the steps in this guide, you can create a sign customiser that meets your exact specifications. If you are using the fixed width model, we recommend referring to our Advanced Model Guide instead.

1. Choose your manufacturer

The supplier will produce your signs and ship them to your customers. Having a good supplier is really important. We have provided a list of suppliers for your reference. To check our reference suppliers, click on the "Manufacturers" button in the app's back end.

You will be redirected to our supplier list. The list provides you supplier name, website, shipping regions. Clicking on the "Contact" button to drop them a message.

2. Create a copy of the essential information sheet file and add your information.

We provide a sample sheet file that includes the information you need from your supplier to set up a fixed width model. You must create a copy of the file, fill in your information and then send it to your supplier. Please follow these steps:

2.1 Create your essential information sheet file

Visit this page, click "File" > "Make a copy"

Enter a name for your new sheet file, and choose "Make a copy".

2.2 Adding your fonts

Before sending the sheet file to your supplier, you must fill in some information like fonts. The blue text in the sample sheet file is the text you need to fill in.

In the first tab, fill in the list of the fonts you want to use. Don't forget to attach the font files so your suppliers can work with them and give your price. You can either add the download links of the font files to the sheet file or attach the font file to the email you will send to your supplier.

If you don't have a list of the fonts you want to use, please refer to this guide.

2.3 Add your sizes.

In the Size tab, list the sizes you want to offer to your customers with label, width (cm). You can also specify your store's main currency in the tab. Suppliers will use this currency to list their price later.

2.4 Send the file to your supplier

Now you are done! Please send the edited sheet file to your supplier. You can use this email format.
